Protecting Children, Young People, and Vulnerable Adults
The Jesuits and employees of the Chicago-Detroit Province of the Society of Jesus are committed to the personal care of all individuals, especially the young and those who are emotionally, physically, or intellectually challenged. The Province is fully accredited by Praesidium, Inc, an organization providing consultation, risk management assessment, policy development, and training materials for use in preventing sexual misconduct and responding to allegations of sexual misconduct. The Province maintains Praesidium Accreditation through periodic audits by Praesidium’s independent auditors.
How to Report an Allegation of Abuse
If you believe that you, or someone you know, has been abused by a Jesuit or a Province employee, you are urged to advise the Chicago-Detroit Province by calling Marjorie O’Dea, Director, Office of Victim Advocacy at 773-975-6363, or in writing to Marjorie O’Dea at the Chicago-Detroit Province of the Society of Jesus, 2050 N. Clark St., Chicago, Il. 60614. You are also advised to contact the appropriate law enforcement or child-protection agency in the location in which the incident took place.
