Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory School has been honored with the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Award for Architectural Excellence in Community Design from the Chicago Neighborhood Development Awards (CNDA).   

The CNDA, established in 1995, looks to recognize the essential role that both non-profit and for-profit developers play in building communities in Chicago-area neighborhoods. 

The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Awards for Architectural Excellence in Community Design recognizes and encourages best practices in community design, landscape design, and architecture. The winning projects clearly and successfully demonstrate a contribution to the visual, social, and cultural life in the communities they serve.

The award for Architectural Excellence in Community Design is aimed at projects that

• Demonstrate superior design quality responsive to the neighborhood context and the constraints imposed by funding and regulatory agencies;
• Successfully respond to the needs of the population served;
• Enhance the overall development of the local community; and
• Exhibit a creative design solution that could become a model for projects in other neighborhoods.

John Ronan Architects created a place that inspires excellence both in those who study within its walls and those who live outside of them.
